Philosophy used to include what we now call science in the Middle Ages.
Still today some important scientific disciplines are often classified as
philosophical disciplines. If science and philisophy overlap then this
thread requires a definition of what science is not philosophy and what
philosophy is not science. I offer the definition that all science is
philosophy (to go back to the original meaning of the words) and that
philosophy is science when it accepts the scientific method i.e. when it at
least accepts to validate its statements against experience. So I am all pro
philosophy!
