    Just to be clear, Allen's venture has nothing to do with Microsoft.
    Allen himself is not involved in Microsoft and hasn't been in more
    than a decade.

    In fact, if you read the article, the real work was actually done in a
    competition between Cycorp, SRI, and Ontoprise, with Allen providing
    the funds for this project.
