Ahh, the "follow the smart money" theory.
Problem here is that science has never been able to prove the existence
of smart money in the market...I felt like that poor mentally retarded
guy in "Flowers for Algernon" who through some medical intervention
becomes a genius, and then through his genius realizes that he's
destined to return to being retarded. -gts
Thanks g, this confirms my own intuitions
about stock investing. I am only smart
enough to know how dumb I am about this
topic. During the big runup of 96 thru 2k,
I felt like such a sucker staying out of
the market. I watched the net worth of
my friend's 6 yr old daughter exceed my
own, as she bought the high fliers and I
sat out the boom.
Her net worth is now about average for a
10 yr old child.
All the hype of those heady times violated
my intuitions about how the world should
work. Those intuitions were correct in
the long run.
