The Guardian reports that there are a number of murders being committed
by individuals who either believe, or claim they believe, that they are
living in The Matrix. This is apparently a new sort of insanity
defense. If you believe that your victims are not real, are you
responsible for their deaths??
This touches on a debate we had here a while back about whether killing
simulated people is wrong.
One thing left out is that even in the movie, if you kill a person in
the Matrix, their real body dies in its pod, wherever it is.
