    You might be able to divert the debate from the merits of the war to the
    merits of debating the war for a while, but ultimately efforts to ban the
    topic are bound to fail, particularly if things start to get interesting in
    Iraq as I fear they will. Like it or not I think Iraq may end up dominating
    our thoughts for some time to come. I hope I'm wrong.
