I think it is possible to read this aspect as "I'll be damned if I'll let
the bozos run things *without* my vote", rather than any "abiding faith". I
mean, I am one of those that think "Don't vote, it only encourages the
bastards"... but I _do_ vote, every chance I get; more now than (say) 10
years ago.

Four devotional activities of _some_ kind a month includes all sorts of
things, from now-I-lay-me-down-to-sleep to Santeria. :) Nonetheless I'll
agree that this was surprising. Then again, remember that some surveys seem
to show that 70% of Americans believe in some sort of Supreme Being; why
shouldn't those folks be "connected"?
