    Jaques, I can see where that might cause a problem in France.
    In the U.S. there is no confusion between the concept of
    "this money" vs "MY money".

    Actually I see cryonics as more comparable to the 1960s fad
    for bomb shelters. If I choose to spend my money on a shelter
    or cryonics, either way it is my choice. It doesn't cost the
    community anything, it dumps my horded wealth back into the
    community.

    I could argue further that my money IS spent on a living
    person (me) during my normal life. The bills are already
    paid by the time I actually expire.
