Setting Up a Bandwidth Market</A>
http://www.abcnews.com/sections/tech/DailyNews/bandwidth981205.html
"Bandwidth trading floors have been set up by entrepreneurs
like Richard Elliott of London’s Band-X and Alex Mashinsky
of New York’s Arbinet. They and a few others have recently
set up online spot markets where telecoms can make
bandwidth trades over the Internet.
"Creating a spot market for carrying capacity among telecoms
is only the first step in the commoditization of bandwidth:
eventually, there will be a fully-functioning commodities
market where minutes are traded as investments, and where
many buyers and sellers never use the product."
