Quick note from an Engineer: A recent survey (can't remember where exactly -
radio, I think abc science show?) quoted Engineers as 5 times more likely
than the population as a whole to have autism. The reason quoted was that
autistics can find useful functionality in an engineering environment.
My guess is that geeks will breed AI geeks until the marketing people get
their paws on them as products. Maybe AIs will become appropriately self
modified to interface to the personality of the human - PDA chit chat etc.
Fantastic sales tool.
