I don't think the U.S. shared any information that Al Qaida was responsible
for the 9/11 attacks. I think they kept their information secret due to
national security, as they plan to do in future cases. This was acceptable
for the current conflict, as Britain and Germany could provide their own
independent evidence. Britain has already stated that they do not have
enough evidence to support an attack on Iraq. Unless the U.S. decides to
share secret data with other governments in the future, global support for
this effort may be lacking. We could very easily see support fizzle after
the immediate crisis is over.
