Well, it seems to suggest a simplification of the issue. Start reading

some understanding of the complexities affecting islamic society.

I make a lot of fun of Dubya but I am very, very impressed with the
careful, coalition-building course the administration has chosen. It
will have its share of problems, as would any other policy, but I think
it demonstrates the application (even if cynically) of values the
american people (at their best) would support. (I am much less impressed
by their domestic take that the only thing americans should do is go
back to their normal vapidity and spend, spend, spend. No doubt Dubya
has received some very intense educational lessons in the past couple of
weeks, wouldn't it be great if we all could).
