Nasty thought:
What if, once it becomes possible to download knowledge rather than have
to learn it, some corporations began selling subscriptions to morality?
One could know what is right (or believe such, anyway) without having to
spend time figuring it out...kind of like religious mores, except that
programmers could presumably debug these consciousnesses more
effectively as exploits surface.
