    It was my understanding that we have plenty of oil buried nebeath our own
    land and that we are just using up everyone else's oil to keep from using
    our own.
    Also, haven't they been saying we are almost out of oil for the past 30
    years?
    Here's an interesting article stating that some oil basins seem to be
    refilling from sources much deeper in the earth suggesting that our current
    estimates of the amount of oil available is very low.
