Robert Weinberg, a notable cancer expert, sez not. (Except in especially
nasty hot-spots.) The rise is Western cancer incidence is in step with the
increase in longevity; the longer you live, the more onco prequel events
occur stochastically. Some of those are associated with modifiable diet
choices, of course. Meanwhile, we gain improved methods of fixing cancers
once they show up, and those methods are attributable to modern cities and
their greasy engines.
