This is just warning to list members that the SPAM
situation is going to get worse before it gets better.
Apparently a distributed denial of service attack has
taken out one of the major source points for lists
of systems distributing undesirable emails [1].
In addition, most of the major worm/virus/security detection
services are predicting that the recent "sobig" virus instance
is just a build-up to a massive SPAM distribution system [2].
So, be aware that if you do have a Windows system without the
latest updates -- or do not have an email filtering system --
you *WILL* be vulnerable. So expect your system to fill up with
junk mail and expect most of it to be "dangerous" if you open it.
Where to place blame: Microsoft & the SPAMers
You should be aware that there seems to be a real "war" out there
only it seems to be being conducted at the software level.
