Alcor's new era of "professionalism".
Larry Johnson got involved with Alcor somewhere around
the end of 2002, six months or so after the Ted
Williams affair broke. Was groomed for the position
of COO by, apparently, Charles Platt, and took that
position around the beginning of July 2003. At the
same time, July 3rd, he registered an internet domain:
here's the link to the whois info:
http://www.betterwhois.com/bwhois.cgi?domain=freeted.com&x=39&y=18¤
Somewhere along the way he decided to cash in on the
Ted-Williams-at-Alcor affair.
How exactly this came about is still a mystery (to me,
at least).
Ahhh a summer of media frivolity.
