A couple kicker suggestions, Mez -
a) There must be a statistically significant number of children to get
anything resembling a bell
curve.
b) The children must be raised in different manners if ALL (and I agree -
that's a kneeslapper!)
the IQ-affecting genes are identical to produce a range of expression of
those genes. Again, the
bell curve would otherwise look extremely spikey/clumpy if only a few
identical methods of raising
the children are used.
c) We do know that Einstein was somewhat of a sport - his brain, as found by
autopsy, had gross
abnormalities. This will also affect the process.
