Actually, I don't see anything that Spike wrote as counting biotech down
and out. I think he made a realistic assessment of the current
situation. Pointing out the reality of current and future obstacles is
a future-enhancing tactic that will help us achieve our goals. I
consider Spike's and similar comments as working toward the future, not
against it. The first step to solving a problem is admitting there is a
problem. Those who won't admit there is a problem and only focus on the
positive will delay the future more than those who keep harping on the
negatives.
