    According to Robert Bradbury in
    http://www.aeiveos.com/~bradbury/Papers/GWiaRH.html, "Hunt [1] has
    calculated there are 1.55×10^19 kg of organic carbon on the Earth."
    Based on that figure, and assuming all "organic carbon" is contained in
    "biomass," the total number of carbon atoms in the biomass would be 7.8
    x 10^44. Comments?
