Yup. As far as I know, the current folks with the fastest data protocols are
these folks: http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~jer/research/rtnm/ who are working on
real-time uncompressed streaming multi-channel video and audio over standard
internet connections. I should point out that I'm biased though since its my
best friend Stephen Spackman who's written 98% of the code for the project,
and is, you may notice, mentioned nowhere at all on the site...
