I can see it now: the hull is covered with climbing insect-bots that are
controlled by Mike and Spike using a camera pointed at real ant colonies
(when the bots paint well, the corresponding ant gets food). Michael and
others are using the steam cats to do the world's longest dives and
launch cantaloupes. Amara rises with her telescope on one of the
elevators, while the other is a deep swimming pool where Greg leads the
scuba diving course. Max and Natasha are posing as captains. Meanwhile
the bridge is being turned into the world's largest and most powerful
freenet node.
And somewhere deep below Anders and Eliezer are trying to get the
nuclear reactor to work. "Shouldn't we ask some hardware type to help us
out? We are theory people, after all." "Don't you trust in Bayesian
reasoning and Google?" "Uh, sure. According to this site we should pull
that lever..."
:-)
