I think you are right on that. I totally believe that 200 years from
now mankind will still be practicing religion but that religion will be
today's vastly changed.
If you wish to get a glimpse of where we are going I suggest you take
a look at Clare Graves' site at www.clarewgraves.com/home.html
A friend just sent me that and so I pass it to you. However please
understand that Doctor Graves is into psychology not religion. I don't think he
even mentions the word religion in his work -- certainly in none I remember.
Never the less what he says applies to religion as it does to all of
psychology.
In addition, to know where Christianity is going I suggest you look up
the Jesus Seminar. That old time fundamentalist religion is believed by
almost no one today. In fact I am not sure I even have a clear idea where the
fundamentalists are today.
