I have no problem with mandatory labeling so long as it doesn't have the
effect of leading the majority (i.e. the scientifically illiterate, recall)
to vacuous assumptions and conclusions. With that in mind, a better choice
might be:
"This product contains ingredients that have been genetically modified by
accident and/or purposefully."
