I must not-so-humbly disagree. I am the one who started these complaints
about the list rules not being followed and dishonest debate tactics being
used. I did it for my own reasons, and not at the urging of any of the
individuals I defended. Likewise, I was not under attack nor even part of
the conversations when I started these threads.
There is no connection between anybody losing any political arguments and
the enforcement of the list rules. The list rules should be obeyed as a
matter of personal honor, because each of us pledged to do so when we
joined. The weakness is not on the side of those asking the rules be
enforced. It is on the side of those who made promises they were not able
to keep.
