The choice of Folding@Home clients is disappointingly limited. I
could potentially run it on only some of my machines, and only if
I jump through additional hoops. Compare with the list of SETI@home
clients. (And yes, I do think that SETI is a worthwhile project.)
I know people feel immensely proud about having expanded their
mental horizon when they have internalized the existence of Linux/i386,
but really, it's just about as parochial as before.
