Well, it's manufactured, we can make lots of it, soon we'll be able to make
big things out of it, if just one atom was out of place we could tell and it
would be wrong.

Historic reasons. RNA occurs naturally and when it was first discovered the
word "Nanotechnology " had not yet been invented.
