    I would suggest contemplating trying modafinil (aka Provigil). This has
    been mentioned on the list before, its probably the 1st drug that taken
    regularly could reduce the need and desire for sleep. I have been taking it
    for some time now, and find it quite effective. If you are looking for a
    way to stay awake and alert throughout the day, this might be an optimal
    choice.
