Maybe it is just me, but I bought my first bow last year and I found it
exceedingly easy to shoot accurately. Of course, range is drastically
shorter than one has with a rifle, but I can shoot a three inch group
at 40 yards without much effort.
Today's bow technology is very good. Compound geared bows allow one to
handle a 90-120 lb tension bow with relative ease, and bowsights are
very reliable. Rather than grabbing the bowstring with hands, there are
triggered mechanical hooks which release with the push of the thumb.
Perhaps if you want a truly 'natural' hunting experience, you should go
out in the woods in a loincloth and make your own bow with ash and gut,
chipping your arrowheads from flint.
