Oh, I don't know. They all continue to be highly oppressive regimes.
Castro just executed three dissidents and has arrested hundreds more.
Talking to foreign reporters is still a crime in Cuba. The movement to
use entirely legal means to make the Communist Party allow democratic
reforms promised in the Cuban Constitution has been brutally repressed.
Even the most left wing apologists for Cuba are now condemning it.
I'm not aware of any hostile acts or statements toward Vietnam by the
US government.
Iran's ruling clerics are acting to stamp out voices of dissent, from
university professors condemned to death to newspaper editors
imprisoned, etc. They continue to fund terrorist organizations around
the world and give shelter to al Qaeda operatives escaping from
Afghanistan. They are backing islamist infiltrators in Iraq and Afghanistan.
