True, but one has to interpret stats very carefully. Mortality stats show
the weight at death. They do not show the person's previous maintenance
weight. These stats probably just indicate that many people lose weight
while terminally ill or hospitalized. Excluding long-term illnesses skews
the stats toward overweight, with heart-attacks being the primary cause.
