    No, samantha, nobody is making that claim. The opposite is true.

    Simply stated, the idea behind paleodiet theory is to eliminate the calories
    from grains, dairy and legumes, and to replace those calories with those
    from meats, fish, fowl, eggs, fruits, veggies and nuts. This is the diet to
    which our prehistoric ancestors were genetically adapted, and to which we
    moderns are still almost certainly best adapted. It involves an increase in
    the consumption of fruits and vegetables, not a decrease.
