They are definitely not like the Buddhists who seem to happily let themselves be promoted in Hollywood fashion by various devoted actor celebrities.
I wonder if the time will come when Sufism is the next big thing in Hollywood, and not Buddhism? And do you think the Sufi's would allow themselves to be engaged in such a way?
Seeing Richard Gere and Steven Seagal spinning around in circles after they join the Whirling Dervishes is going to be quite something (I realize that is just one order within Sufism)! lol
