    Amara,
There is another reason or perhaps it is only an illustration of what
    you were saying.
The Sufi have called us the third or fourth America meaning a society
open enough to be fertile ground for them. The first was Moslem Spain, the
second was Nineteenth Century England and there may have been one more
    besides us, I forget.
Today if you learn enough about the Sufi to spot their teachings and
then look around their teachings have permeated this society even while
keeping a low profile. If you look in our military academies and officer
training schools you will find a basic version of the Sufi training being
used. If you read the good Pop Psychologists or how to type sports books you
will find them chock full of the Sufi approach. Heck, even the Boy Scouts
    teach a basic Sufi message.
