I can't tell from this end. Currently they are up again, although
my ISP's proxy still tells me otherwise. As I mentioned before,
bad connectivity to Russian sites is not that unusual and 217.106.231.240
appears to be located in Moscow.

Last I heard, nobody knew for certain. That Al Jazeera would suffer
a horrendous slashdot effect was quite predictable, though.
