Yep, if you tell a lie to someone you claim is a friend then you are most
definitely stabbing that "friend" in the back. Read the New York Times of
last Monday, Jacques Chirac the President of France encouraged Powell to
bring a resolution about Iraq to the UN. Secretary of State Powell said to
Chirac do not vote for a Iraq resolution unless you are prepared to enforce
it, Chirac said don't worry, you have my personal assurance that France will
stand by you when the time comes. Chirac was, to put the best possible spin
on it, somewhat economical with the truth.
