iraq: possibly wishful thinking

    CNN is claiming that the Pakistanis are closing in
    on bin Ladin. If he is taken, does it give anyone
    else here hope that his capture could somehow prevent
    a war with Iraq? Are those two things linked in any
    way? Is it too optimistic of me to keep hoping the
    Iraqi military will mutiny, collectively realizing
    the absurdity of attempting a defense by flesh and
    blood against silicon and steel? Perhaps Im just
    being blinded by dynamic optimism.
