    Remembering Göran Kropp

In 1996, Swedish adventurer Göran Kropp made a name for himself by
riding his bicycle from Sweden to Nepal, climbing Mount Everest sans
bottled oxygen, then cycling back home.

Tragically, Mr. Kropp died September 30, 2002, while scaling Air
Guitar, a crack climb on Sunshine Wall near Vantage, Washington.

In an effort "to propagate Göran's legacy into the future generations,"
Adventure Cycling member Erden Eruç and other friends of Kropp are
attempting to introduce two new words to the English language, based
on their deceased friend's first and last names: Göran-size and Kropp.

"the suggest usage of 'Göran-sizing a task'," writes Eruç, "means
to up the ante, increasing the challenge by choice in a healthy
    sort of way."

"'Kropping' would be used to represent a complete execution, without
any shortcuts or perceived cheating. If one lives in Seattle, hops
on a bicycle with the gear necessary to reach the summit of Mount
Ranier, reaches Paradise, summits the mountain, and returns home
again with all the gear, she would have Kropped Rainier."

"Through their use [these words] will evolve to cover other situations.
I am certain that once users grasp the origins of the expressions,
the meanings will remain true to their intention."
