There were self-contradictory notions running thru
the article. They got all worked up over the liquid
nitrogen level being low and the sanitary conditions
in sharing a dewar with other heads and bodies,
however if they believe the corpsicles are not going
to ever live again, neither of those points matter.
I have never heard of anyone worrying about the
sanitary conditions inside a coffin or inside a
cremation oven.
As to point 1, the patients stay near liquid nitrogen
boiling point as long as there is any LN2 in the
dewar. They need not be submerged, which is one
reason I question the upside down bit. As for
the sanitary considerations, well, I would share a
bath with other cryonauts, especially since I know
that it is perfectly sterile "bathwater". spike
