Some months ago I purchased the latest book by David Weber in the Honor
Harrington Series. (Space Opera) I was suprised to learn that as an added
bonus the publisher (Baen Books) had included a CD which contained an
ENORMOUS amount of material.....like....the entire HH Series (ten
books)......and several more or less complete series from other Baen
Authors....about twenty books in all I think...in about five reader formats.

Two or three foot of bookshelf ....on One Cd.

Well the CD sat on a shelf for a few months...unused.....then during the post
911 freight slowdown I've had a LOT of time on my hands (setting for days at
a time in obscure places waiting for a load).....so I took the CD
    down...popped it into my laptop....

    And I was hooked....

Being able to read in zero ambient light conditions ....being able to
increase the print size....is Soooooooo nice.

So now I'm considering getting a handheld eBook Device. My thoughts are I can
download the books at home....put them on my Hard Drive or burn them to a
CD....the "fill up" the handheld with different titles for each trip. I don't
imagine I'd read more than 9 or 10 books every two or three weeks ......do
    you think?

The problem is there are so many of them....and so many formats...

    I was considering RocketBooks.......

Has anyone any experience in this area .............any advice?

    Sitting at home............waiting......waiting.
