Roger that. My notion is that fixing mechanical devices
trains the mind. Code jockeys know that writing software
is a constant exercise in logic, consequently software
types are often the most logical people I know, the best
at diagnosing and fixing problems. Good programmers
use logic tools to design a good reliable product.
Fixing machines forces one to reason out why a problem
exists. Review the first chapter in "Surely You're
Joking, Mr. Feynman" called "He fixes radios by THINKING!"
