Kai,
That sounds very believable. What better way to cover ones own
misdeeds than to accuse someone else?
However Kai, that sounds a bit like I am making excuses for the US --
I am not. It would not surprise me at all to have a list of American
companies given. I suspect my government has prevented direct trade but
false papers and third parties are a time honored device.
Just a personal note. If you look at the bottom of a reproduction of
our Declaration of Independance you will find the name of a long ago cousin
of mine -- Benjamin Harrison of Virginia. I know a little about him as he is
one of my favorite characters in history -- he got my attention through his
own ability long before I knew we were kin. He made his living in a number
of ways. He owned a ship yard, did trans Atlantic shipping, had a
plantation, a trading post (large scale), served in government, and smuggled.
LOL It is an old tradition.
