Read the post again, if you must. I was making a comment
about Ron's interesting way of describing the situation
in the Middle East (i.e., that the US has some 'influence',
but that the people who live there actually want to be
'top dog' in their own homes! The sheer gall of them, to
resent the benign 'influence' of the US' troops). I was
not suggesting that the US rules any part of the Middle
East directly, as you seem to indicate.
