There are lots of non rusty materials. There are even ferrous materials
which are less rusty than those generally used. Part of the super-rust
plague is due to low quality steel being dumped on the world market by
china and others, part of it is that rust producing bacteria have
evolved improved rusting abilities, and part is that tankers are
flagged in countries which do not have standards of maintenance,
safety, etc like we do, and the insurance/reinsurance industry doesn't
accurately account for this in their premiums, letting shippers skimp
on maintenance since they won't have to pick up the tab when their
ships bust up and sink.
