Okay: your interpretation is more gramatically correct!
*sigh* brings back fond memories of reading The Spike following its publication
(just before this I'd had my first (only so far) little demonstration of the principle
of providing telomere therapy as the first soma of immortality
to all sentient beings for free... got 20 people and a camera though... on the
steps of Parliament House, Melbourne - the police tried to evict us
but had a little trouble because of the noisy Xmas carol singer
tourists nearby... somebody pointed out, we're quiet, how come
you're evicting us when these guys don't have your permission and
are screaming away (they were a bit rowdy, university footballer types).
We managed to hang in for our 20 minutes worth.)
