Oh, Hawking probably read it but just wasn't very interested in what
Nietzsche, a man who knew less physics than a good high school student does
today, had to say on the subject.

The idea is that all the all the complexity of the universe can be derived
from a finite and presumably small number of laws. There is no point in
asking why these fundamental laws operate the way they do and not some other
way because if you could answer that then they would not be fundamental. By
the way, I read your post several times but I still can't figure out what
Stephen Hawking's superstition is.
