MAYBE it has something to do with this time of year. This was when Pagan
peoples needed something to believe in that would see them through the dark
nights and the dead days. I mean, they must have been wondering, do you
think the sun really will come back and things will start growing again, all
that green stuff and that? Yes, we know it did that the last time. But what
guarantee do we have? . . .
