The problem is that symbols are highly variable, even if some have more
standardized meanings (After all, most psychologists and anthropologists
do not buy Jung's theories). I think a more reliable map would be based
on the hardware - it is more standardized, and can be accessed in a more
replicable way. A third possibility is to build a symbolic system, which
is then used to influence the mind; this is the solution of ceremonial
magick.
