1. NO IDEA IS SACRED

2. RENNAISSANCE

3. ECONOMIES OF LUXURY - DUTCH TULIP CRISIS FIRST MARKET COLLAPSE

4. ARTISANS AND GUILDS = BETTER SHIPS

5. BETTER SHIPS = EXPLORATION - NEW WORLD!

6. SLAVERY MEANT THE BIGGEST MACHINE AVAILABLE TO CAPITALISM

7. SLAVERY OUTSIDE EUROPE = BIG PROFITS FOR EUROPE - NO QUESTIONS
ASKED

8. RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION LED TO PURITAN RE SETTLEMENT - AMERICA

Europeans were not the first to give up hunter gathering.
European religion had more to do with the collapse of the Roman empire
than the developments of the rennaissance. "No idea is sacred" tends
to bollocks up western religion, wouldn't you say?

What happened to the future? Why all this relapse into "what made
europe succesful"? Some of it sounds like "Why are we so good?", which
is not only insecure, it is crypto fascistic. Imperial success always
burdens the individual with upholding the state, that coldest of cold
monsters. Let it go. The world is bigger. Eurocentrism is stupid. God
is dead. Grow up.
