There was a movie about this in the mid 70s! Its called West World which is a future amusement park. Droids entertained the humans by serving 

as targets for humans to have wild west style shootouts.  Everyone
had smart guns, which would shoot droids but not humans. This movie
is worth a look.  This is a world where nothing can go... worng.  But
does. Evidently the smart guns ran under windows 2018. spike
