This is wonderful! I've long imagined an order of Catholic nuns, virgin
mothers every one, dedicated to the ceaseless task of host-mothering the
hapless foetuses so cruelly abandoned by their sinful parents (although in
that naughty fantasy it was aborted foetuses I had in mind).

I now imagine a variant, a kind of Tleilaxu order of Extropian Mothers
Superior who offer their ova freely (or indeed in exchange for an ingot of
gold shaped like a dollar S, perhaps worn on a gold chain around the neck
next to the cryonics alert) in order to create stem cells for genetic
engineering. Would this gift or trade be illegal? At least it would keep
the cells free of premature baptism at the hands of the dreaded Nightlighters.
